March Ipsy Review

It's time for my monthly review of the Ipsy Glam Bag. If you aren't familiar with Ipsy, it's is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription where you get five full or deluxe size samples of a variety of products and a cute makeup bag all for $10! You never know what you’ll get and I’ve been lucky to receive a great selection of products almost every month so far. Here's what I got in mine in March:

March Style Budget

I didn't have a budget post in February because I made it through the whole month without spending a dime on clothing! There were some winter sweaters that I was tempted to get, but I figured there would be further markdowns so I waited. This month, I was drawn to all of the pretty spring color palettes and floral's so I changed gears and picked up some spring staples. Here's where my dollars went in March.
March Spending Spree

Spring Fling!

Happy Spring! I've been drawn to soft pastels lately, and while the weather was not cooperating, it didn't stop me from wearing my pink and blue floral maxi. I love the flowy material and the flirty side slits on both legs. To stay warm, I knotted a chambray shirt and since sandals are still out of the question, neutral flats. A colorful statement necklace with a little bling pulled everything together.

Pretty in Pink & a Firmoo Review

Welcome to Thursday Fashion Files!

Welcome to Thursday Fashion Files with Jill at Doused in Pink and Carrie at Curly Crafty Mom! We are excited to have you here and would love to have you link up one of your latest outfits with us. Last week was a BIG week for us, because we had OVER 100 link ups! It is so exciting to cross into the three digits and its because of all of YOU! Thanks!

We are always looking for Co-Hosts for Thursday Fashion Files. If you haven't signed up to Co-Host, but are interested, sign up by clicking HERE. If you have already signed up for a Co-Host spot, take note that the party is now starting on Thursday at 12:00 A.M. instead of Wednesday evening.

I've been wearing my eyeglasses more often than my contact lenses lately and when Firmoo contacted me and asked if I would like to shop their latest collection, I thought it would be great to get a new pair of glasses for spring. Firmoo makes shopping for eyeglasses online easy. In addition to their classic frame collection, they offer sunglasses, specialty eyewear and even have an entire section of geek chic frames! I uploaded a photo of myself to virtually try on frames. Ordering is easy, just enter your prescription, and in a few weeks you'll have them delivered to your doorstep. If you are in looking for a new pair of glasses or sunnies, check out Firmoo and give them a try!

Spring is here but sweaters are still on repeat when it's 70 degrees one day and 30 degrees the next. Pink is a great color for transitioning into spring. For a pretty in pink look, I'm styling my pink eyelash sweater with white jeans and a floral scarf. As much as I love this sweater, I'm hoping I can pack it away until October soon!

It always amazes me that it was 5 degrees outside two weeks ago. On Monday it was almost 70 degrees and now it's 40 degrees! I'm patiently waiting to wear skirts with bare legs but until then, I'm bringing out the maxi's. Adding a warm sweater and some fun accessories will get me through until the spring weather is finally here!

This guy kept trying to photo-bomb me. Then I remembered Gina's post referencing People Style Watch's Whats In/What's Out. Cats as accessories are IN, so I scooped him up!

Just Add Green for Luck!

Happy Monday! Did everyone enjoy the weekend? It was a beautiful 60 degrees in Chicago and the perfect weather for the St Patrick's day parade. Speaking of St Patrick's day, my friend Colleen had a St Patrick's Day/Bon Voyage party for us and another family in our neighborhood that are moving next month. I made this delicious Green Sangria recipe that Carrie from Curly Crafty Mom posted last week. It was a refreshing change from a traditional red sangria and the perfect drink to celebrate the beginning of spring!

Today I'm happy to be collaborating with my friend Susan, from Charming Lucy to show you two outfits to get your green on for St Patrick's Day. Susan styled her green sweater with leopard slip-ons and added a pop of pink with her Kendra Scott tassel necklace. What I like about her outfit is that it's festive without being over the top. Make sure you stop by Susan's blog today to say hello and see the rest of her outfit photos!

We still had plenty of snow on the ground when I took my photos, but after this weekend, most of it is gone and it's so nice to see grass (it's dull and brown, but still, grass!). I layered a few green pieces and styled them with my white jeans and riding boots to tone it down a bit. This look was perfect to take me to the St Patrick's day festivities without being overboard on the green.

Are you wearing green today?

Thank you for stopping by and reading!
