Must Have Summer Tote

Susan from Charming Lucy and I have partnered up again, this time to show you how we style our summer totes. The perfect tote is the one thing every girl needs for summer! A stylish tote will stash a change of clothes to take you from the beach to cocktails or from a street fest to dinner. One of my favorite things to do on summer nights is go to outdoor concerts. There is nothing better than listening to live music under the stars! I received this tote as a gift from a friend who works for Vera Bradley and it's been a summer staple. This tote is holds all of my necessities plus a blanket, a bottle of wine and some snacks.

Another day, another maxi! I just can't get enough of these effortless and comfy dresses. I needed a dress for my daughter's graduation and as I was browsing online, this cool, blue boho print jumped out at me. Bonus that it was on sale, so I couldn't resist! A statement necklace, wedges and my trusty aviators completed the look.

June Ipsy Glam Bag Review

It's time for my monthly review of the Ipsy Glam Bag. If you aren't familiar with Ipsy, it's is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription where you get five full or deluxe size samples of a variety of products and a cute makeup bag all for $10! You never know what you’ll get and I’ve been lucky to receive a great selection of products almost every month so far. This month's theme was Swim into Beauty and the products came in a cute black on black bag that had the Ipsy logo embossed across it and a bright neon zipper. Here's what was inside in June:

Denim Shirtdress for Summer

Welcome to Thursday Fashion Files!

I received this denim shirtdress with the high/low hem for my birthday last fall and wore it through the winter with leggings and boots seen here. I've also taken this dress up a notch and wore it with black tights and heels to a networking event for work. This has been a classic staple that has taken me from season to season and today I'm styling my shirtdress for an effortless summer look. The lace detail already gives a fresh, summery vibe so all I needed to do was roll up the sleeves, add sandals and a few pieces of jewelry!

Graduation Party DIYs

This past weekend we hosted our daughter's middle school graduation party. The plan was to have the party outside but with a 80% chance of rain and trying to keep it low key, I didn't do much for decorations. I considered this a test run and in another four years, I'll up the decor and menu when we do this again. Luckily the weather held out and it didn't rain until late evening. Our daughter and her friends were able to enjoy the beach and the family was able to hang out and enjoy the sunshine. Today I'm sharing the two quick and easy projects I did for the party.

Love More, Hate Less

Today I'm thrilled to be collaborating with Tif from Bright on a Budget, Becky from BYBMG and Courtney from The Bourbon Soaked Mom to help promote the Love More/Hate Less campaign that Kentucky Brewed Tees recently launched. Kentucky Brewed Tees started as a hobby and has grown to them recently opening their first store front. They offer the finest quality apparel and custom screen printing in Kentucky. They hand print every item right in their studio and each order is treated with quality and care no matter what its size.

Buy one Love More/Hate Less tee and they will give you one free with the caveat that you give the free tee to someone who needs a little love in their life! It could be a friend in need, a family member who is struggling or even a complete stranger! They are hoping to spread love one tee at a time!

KY Brewed Tee, J.Crew Skirt, Converse

The tee is super soft, is ideal for everyday wear and comes in unisex sizing S - XL. I styled my tee with a casual white skirt and Converse for a relaxed weekend look.
