Tips to Help You Look Great Without Makeup

It’s easy to spend a small fortune on makeup every single month when you’re a beauty junkie. Especially when we’re going for the natural makeup look to appear like we aren’t wearing any at all. By making a few simple changes, you can look your best and be confident having makeup-free days.

Perfect Eyebrows

When you are not wearing makeup, your eyebrows are the center of attention. You want to shape your eyebrows so that they emulate your face shape. With so many eyebrow shapes to choose from, it can be overwhelming to decide which one is best for you. But before you choose an eyebrow shape, it’s important to consider your face shape. An oval face will often look best with soft, rounded eyebrows, while a square face can benefit from sharper, more angular brows. A long face typically looks best with flat or horizontal brows, and a round face can benefit from high, arched eyebrows. By choosing an eyebrow shape that complements your face type, you can enhance your natural features and create a beautiful, balanced look. You can find out the types of eyebrow shapes here. If your eyebrows are light and you don’t want to fill them in, you can tint them. When choosing your dye, go for a shade that is just darker than your natural hair tone. If you want to naturally thicken your brows, apply a mix of Vitamin A and castor oil to your eyebrows daily.

Accentuate your Eyes

An easy way to accentuate your eyes is to curl your lashes with an eyelash curler. Heating the curler first with your hairdryer will help keep your lashes curled. A clear mascara gel will hold the curl in place. If you have dark circles under your eyes, consider your diet. Dark circles could mean that you have an iron deficiency or are not getting enough vitamin B. Getting extra sleep, applying a cold compress or tea bags for 10 minutes can help soothe the capillaries in your under-eye area.

Accessories

Accessories can draw attention up to your face. Experiment with monogram necklace designs, hats, or statement earrings.

Whiten Your Teeth

A white smile instantly brightens your face. Whitening toothpaste can go a long way, especially if you drink a lot of coffee or wine. Remember that the whiteners can be harsh on your teeth, so don’t overuse them.

Lips

We exfoliate and moisturize our faces but often forget about our lips. Take care of them with lip blams and for weekly self-care, mix olive oil and sugar, and rub on your lips to gently exfoliate.
