How to Style the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan aka Blardigan Four-Ways - Doused in Pink - a fashion and lifestyle blog

How to Style the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan aka Blardigan Four-Ways

If you read my July Favorites post, you'll remember that the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan, a.k.a. the Blardigan was on my list.  It has been on my wishlist since Pinterest Told Me To highlighted it as a Santa Alert last fall.  This open front, wrap cardigan is a must have and is the softest piece of clothing I've ever worn!  It's lightweight, flattering, and drapes perfectly over your body. While it is a splurge item, it will keep you warm and cozy through the winter and is a great piece to transition into spring and to wear on cooler summer nights.  Working from home, I know that I will wear this all of the time.

My good friend Laureen, also works from home and recently purchased the Blardigan too. On the Nordstrom site, the Blardigan is shown as lounge wear.  We thought it would be fun to show you how versatile this piece is and worth the price, by dressing it up and styling it for every season!  Laureen has the wrap cardigan in the ombre color and I have the pewter color.

Here is how we styled the Blardigan for each season!

Spring

Springtime means pulling the tank tops out of storage.  While it is not warm enough to wear a tank alone, the Blardigan is the perfect alternative to a jean jacket.

Summer

Doused in Pink| How to Style the Must Have Blardigan!

I wore this sundress to an outdoor concert and had the Blardigan in my bag, just in case.   It went from 80 degrees in the day down to the low 60's that evening and I was glad I had it with me!

Fall

Doused in Pink | Styling the Must Have Blardigan

The Blardigan is a perfect transition piece into fall and I'll be wearing it with booties, skinny jeans and a colorful top.  It will also look great paired with leggings, a tee and converse.

Winter

I think anyone who has to endure the Chicago winter should have a Blardigan.  The ombre looks great paired with with black skinnies and boots. The printed scarf adds another cozy layer and a pop of color. This is comfy to wear to work and dressed up enough for a casual date night.

Special thanks to Laureen for helping me with this fun post!
Do you love the Blardigan as much as we do?

  5. The Blardigan is gorgeous and year-around. A great piece to have. You and Laureen both did a great job styling it. My most favorite look is over the pretty floral dress. I sort of prefer the ombre cardigan a little more though. May I ask you, how much does this cardi cost?

I will E-Mail you as soon as possible also. I will be away at the beach this weekend. It is blazing hot here! =D
