Eva NYC Up All Night Volumizing Spray
This voluminizing spray promises to add volume and texture to hair and protect it from heat while styling. It definitely delivered both volume and texture but my hair was a bit frizzy after blow drying. The second time I used it, I started with anti-frizz creme and then sprayed the voluminizing spray. This made a huge difference and my hair was smooth, had volume and was shiny!
Verdict:
Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil
This face oil is packed with antioxidants and promises to leave your skin plumper, firmer and glowing. The oil smelled great but does not come out of the bottle quickly enough. I have extremely dry skin in the winter and while it absorbed quickly, my skin looked parched within the hour and I had to re-apply. It might work better for someone with normal skin but it's not for me.
Verdict:

ModelCo BLUSH Cheek Powder
I received the Peach Bellini shade and was pleasantly surprised that this shade worked for my fair skintone. It's highly pigmented, lasted all day and gave my skin a nice, rosey glow.
Verdict:
City Color Cosmetics Creamy Lip Stain
I always find lip stains messy but was hopeful that the applicator brush on this product would make a difference. I did like the color but it smeared and smelled awful.
Verdict:

China Glaze Nail Lacquer
I'm a fan of China Glaze but the purple sparkle Marry a Millionaire shade was to glittery for my taste. My daughter loved it though, so it did not go to waste!
Verdict:

ReplyDeleteLovely review! I really like a few of the items. Especially the blush looks great.
ReplyDeleteXO naomi @ Naomi in Wonderland
i haven't seen anyone else with the polish. that's cool, even if it didn't work for you, but your daughter loved it!

Awesome reviews! That blush shade looks really pretty. I like the glitter polish too! I have a similar glitter polish and I love it layered over black nail polish. :)

The cheeky powder sounds right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteKudos for the volumizing spray and cheek powder <3
ReplyDeleteLeigh Cee | Ich Liebe Dich Sky
I love this honest review! It smeared and smelled awful made me laugh. I had high hopes for the face oil as my skin has been dry this winter and i have been considering trying it. Glad to know not to waist the money. Happy Friday!

I have heard so much about Ipsy! Thanks for being honest about the products -- it helps a lot when trying to pick out which you want.

I got a blush applicator brush and I really love it with the blush I received. It is great that you are honest with your review! I actually thought that nail color would be fun, but I'd have to see it on myself... I think I'd probably put it over another shade. I have never been crazy about lip stains either! I'm mainly a lip gloss girl or a little lipstick with some gloss!
ReplyDeleteI was pleased with the blush, too. I was not pleased with the face oil. Definitely for someone else!
ReplyDeleteGreat review, Jill! I always enjoy seeing what people get through different subscription services. I am currently subscribed to Glossy Box and look forward to its arrival every month. The blush is a very pretty color.
ReplyDeleteLove it
ReplyDeleteGreat review! Thanks for sharing! <3 - www.domesticgeekgirl.com
ReplyDeleteI really love that china glaze nail polish!
ReplyDeleteThese products look great!!! I really want to try them out!
ReplyDeleteMelanie @ meandmr.com
That is too bad some of them didn't work out! The blush looks like a lovely shade for spring/summer though!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the linkup. I keep meaning to subscribe to Ipsy. Even though you weren't impressed this month, thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteThat volumizing spray looks quite interesting!

I've never meet a lip stain I liked. I did, however, receive that blush in a different shade and I love it! I felt that way about last month's bag.
ReplyDeleteFebruary was a so-so month for my glam bag too. My brush definitely saved it though! I really like that blush too. Hopefully March will be better :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea! I haven't tried this yet, but it seems like a pretty great deal. I totally agree on the nail polish. I love glitter, but it's a little too much! I am glad your daughter liked it! :)

Sounds like a fun idea but afraid i would just end up with too much make up junk in my drawers. I am so bad and stick with the same routine all the time. Thank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see
ReplyDeleteyou next week. Have a great weekend!

Been thinking of getting this but I am still a bit hesitant. Do they stick to more budget friendly items than high ends ones? I am really interested in that blush though!

They are usually higher end but what I like about it is trying products that I normally would not get. Let me know if you sign up what you think!
ReplyDeleteI can see that happening but luckily I have a few people to share with. Hope you are enjoying the weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a great deal and it's so fun to see what's inside every month!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky you got the brush! Can't wait to see what we get in March!
ReplyDeleteI really like the results and will probably buy the full size product!
ReplyDeleteThis really was the first month that I was not thrilled. It's a great deal, you should sign up!
ReplyDeleteI love China Glaze and thought it would be a fun color but it was too glittery for me!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you stopped by! Hope you are having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great deal and I love trying different products every month. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI like the concept of them but it didn't work with my dry skin. Hope you are enjoying the weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nina!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the lip stain but I always end up looking like the Joker! :) I think the face oil would be great for someone with normal skin or that lives in a warmer climate. Hope you are having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey saved the bag this month! :) Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThe color is perfect and I think will look even better in the summer once I have a tan!
ReplyDeleteNow that's a good idea! I'll have to try that. Thanks Gina!
ReplyDeleteShe's always happy to take whatever I don't want or even what I do want! :)

Too bad this box was mostly disappointing. I'm especially surprised to hear the China Glaze was thumbs down. Good to know, though. T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - lip stains never seem to work out for me. I tried a nail polish that had glitter and little hearts in it - fun, but not for me. I gave it to my son's girlfriend! Hope you had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI always wondered about lip stain too so glad you shared this, now I know to not bother. I want that cheek blush, too bad you didn't get better picks this time around. Have a great Monday:)

Great reviews. I totally understand the glitter overload on some nail polishes, I'm not a fan of those either. But at least your daughter can get use out of it. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm a massive fan of products that are beautifully scented and I'm yet to find the ideal product that thickens my hair and stops the frizz, love the review!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I have that same polish and my girls love it, too!
ReplyDeleteI ended up using the polish one accent nail, and I liked it that way. I don't think I could do a full set though! And the volumizing spray doesn't seem to be working on me. I will have to keep at it. I do love the way it smells though! And I also was pleasantly surprised with the blush! I thought it would be too barbie pink, but it ended up looking great! ReplyDeleteGreat review! I'm surprise about the China Glaze nail polish - they come in beautiful shades. It seems like a great box, I have never subscribed to something like this, but it is a great way to test products!

I've always wondered about Ipsy so it's nice to read your review. Always fun to get something in the mail but yucky when it isn't that exciting. Felt that way about my last daily look box.

That blush is so pretty! Glad you found someone who liked the polish -- I generally like China Glaze but glitter is such a pain haha!
