Ipsy Glam Bag Review – February 2015

It’s time for my monthly review of the Ipsy Glam Bag. If you aren’t familiar with Ipsy, it’s is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription where you get five full or deluxe size samples of a variety of products and a cute makeup bag all for $10! You never know what you’ll get and I’ve been lucky to receive a great selection of products almost every month so far. Here’s what I got in mine in February:

I have to say this was the first month I was a little disappointed in my Ipsy bag and maybe that’s why it took me so long to write my review. The bag itself was super cute with it’s pink and grey motif, perfect for Valentine’s Day,but the products inside were nothing to get excited about.

Eva NYC Up All Night Volumizing Spray

This voluminizing spray promises to add volume and texture to hair and protect it from heat while styling. It definitely delivered both volume and texture but my hair was a bit frizzy after blow drying. The second time I used it, I started with anti-frizz creme and then sprayed the voluminizing spray. This made a huge difference and my hair was smooth, had volume and was shiny!

Verdict:

Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil

This face oil is packed with antioxidants and promises to leave your skin plumper, firmer and glowing. The oil smelled great but does not come out of the bottle quickly enough. I have extremely dry skin in the winter and while it absorbed quickly, my skin looked parched within the hour and I had to re-apply. It might work better for someone with normal skin but it’s not for me.

Verdict:

ModelCo BLUSH Cheek Powder

I received the Peach Bellini shade and was pleasantly surprised that this shade worked for my fair skintone. It’s highly pigmented, lasted all day and gave my skin a nice, rosey glow.

Verdict:

City Color Cosmetics Creamy Lip Stain

I always find lip stains messy but was hopeful that the applicator brush on this product would make a difference. I did like the color but it smeared and smelled awful.

Verdict:

China Glaze Nail Lacquer

I’m a fan of China Glaze but the purple sparkle Marry a Millionaire shade was to glittery for my taste. My daughter loved it though, so it did not go to waste!

Verdict:
