Blogging Tips: Resources for Help

Welcome back to week 5 of our 6 week blogging tips series! This weeks topic is about blogging resources and where to go for blog help.

Doused in Pink has been around for just over two years now, and I can't tell you the number of times I've made mistakes and messed up my blog's template. Thankfully, Blogger Help has come to the rescue most of the time and if they haven't, I've been able to find the answers I need just by doing a google search. One of the great things about the internet is that you can always find a tutorial or answer on how to fix something gone wrong on your blog.

When I bought my domain two years ago I wasn't sure what I needed to do from there. Luckily, my sister's brother-in-law is a tech consultant and was able to help me get everything set up, redirected and functioning properly. Other than that, I have not had to hire any experts or pay for online courses or help.

But it's not just about things gone wrong. Blogging takes a lot of work and there are tools and advice out there that can help you streamline your processes, help you organize and be more productive. The topics are endless and I'm always learning something new. For help with these topics, I always start with Pinterest. Case in point; I recently joined Stumbleupon when Google Analytics showed me that this post had gotten hundreds of views from that source. I had no idea how to navigate it, so I did a search on Pinterest and was happy to find numerous pins about Stumbleupon for bloggers. Now I just need to find the time to start using it!

I know there are lots of great books out there about blogging, but I haven't picked up any yet. If you have any recommendations, let me know in the comments! I think our biggest resource as bloggers is learning from each other! It all goes back to the importance of networking and building relationships!

I hope this is helpful information if you are considering starting a blog. Click here to visit Erica and Brooke from Pumps and Push Ups next and learn their thoughts on Resources for Help!
