Did you have a good weekend? This was the first weekend in a long time that we didn’t have any plans and it was so nice to be able to sleep in and have no agenda! Last week I showed you my fall porch tour and today, I’m opening up the doors to our home! Decorating does not have to cost a lot of money. I’ve collected my seasonal decor over the years and have found most of it at thrift stores, the Target dollar spot or Dollar Tree! I’m going to show you how I add fall and a few Halloween touches to our home and hope you’ll find some decorating inspiration!
Living Room
We’ll start with our living room. This is the space where I like to curl up with a good book. Swapping out your pillow covers from season to season is an easy way to change the look of a room. These pillow covers are from Pottery Barn years ago and the faux fur throw is from Target. I added lots of faux pumpkins (yes, I’m obsessed with them) to decorate the rest of this room.
Dining Room
I use this burlap table runner year-round and changed up a few things on the centerpiece. The little succulents were a DIY that I did the year I took off blogging. I added the fall garland and spread a few faux leaves across the runner.
I love changing up our sidebar and wanted to incorporate some Halloween touches. I draped some gauze, hung a sideways frame, then added a few ravens and spiders. I found printables online to add to the growler bottle and glass jar.
Kitchen
Can you believe that I don’t have a tiered tray? I do have these tiered baskets though and it’s fun to decorate. My tablecloth is actually a blanket scarf. I was using it as a backdrop for a flat lay and liked how it looked so I kept it there.
Family Room
This room is my favorite space and I love the cozy fall vibe Our ottoman and plaid chair always fit right in for fall and the holidays. I mixed in a few Halloween touches. The witch’s hat, ravens and faux books are from the Dollar Tree.
