3 Simple Fall Farmhouse DIY’s

3 simple fall farmhouse DIYs with mason jars

Can you believe we are already halfway through October? I’ve finally finished up my fall and Halloween decorations and will be sharing my fall home tour next week! For today, I have three cute and easy fall DIY’s to share with you. Most of the supplies were purchased at Dollar Tree. I always go there first to see what they have before going to Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. They usually have similar things, and everything is only $1! Here we go!

Candy Corn Mason Jars

Candy Corn Mason Jars Supplies:

  • Mason jars (you can find smooth jars at the Dollar Tree or the classic jars at Michael’s for less than $1)
  • Orange, yellow and white spray paint
  • Decorations of your choice for the top (I found these at the Dollar Tree)
  • Masking tape
  • Glue gun

Step 1:

Lightly tape the top and bottom of the jar and using spray paint, paint the middle with orange paint. Let dry and remove the tape.

Step 2:

Spray the top of the jar with white paint and the bottom with yellow paint. Let dry.

The paint may run together in spots, but I think this gives it a more vintage feel.

Step 3:

Use a glue gun to apply the decorations you choose to the lids. Display!

Leaf Mason Jar Candle

Leaf Mason Jar Candle Supplies:

  • Mason jars (I like the smooth jars from the Dollar Store)
  • Leaves from the Dollar Store
  • Mod Podge
  • Rubber brush
  • Twine or Raffia

Step 1:

Generously apply Mod Podge to 3/4 of the jar.

Step 2:

Adhere leaves to the jar. Apply another layer of Mod Podge and apply more leaves. Let dry.

Step 3:

Tie twine or raffia around the base of the jar. Insert a tea light candle. Light and enjoy!

I had extra leaves, so I decided to use them to make the branch mobile below.

Leaf Branch Mobile

Leaf Branch Mobile Supplies:

  • Branch
  • Leaves from the Dollar Store
  • Fishing line
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors

Step 1:

Cut the fishing line at various lengths.

Glue the line to the back of the leaves.

Step 2:

Hang your branch in the desired space then loop the leaves around the branch (I hung my branch with Command Hooks and fishing wire). That’s it!

I hope you enjoyed these DIYs! Let me know if you give them a try!
