5 Minute Summer Makeup Routine

5 Minute Summer Makeup Routine

Working from home, most days, I feel like makeup is optional, and I am typically makeup free. For those days when I know that I’ll be running errands, going to a doctor’s appointment, or meeting a friend for lunch, I’m all about a minimal makeup look. With the arrival of summer, I also like products that are light and feel fresh on my skin. My 5-minute summer makeup routine has you covered with just five products. It’s a great routine when you don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup or if you are crunched for time.

Summer Makeup Routine

Tinted Moisturizer

I’ve never liked heavy coverage and have been using Tinted Moisturizers and BB Creams for as long as I can remember. Beautycounter’s Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer is excellent for hydrating dry skin, has lightweight coverage, and has an SPF of 20. I apply two pumps to my hand and, using a foundation brush, dab the foundation into my skin, starting in the center of my face and blending outward and around my nose and eyes.

Concealer

Finding a lightweight concealer that provides great coverage is hard, and I went through several trials and errors until I found the W3LL People concealer. It has a mousse-like texture that blends beautifully and doesn’t crease during the day. I apply it in a triangle shape under my eyes and blend it up into my eyelid and bridge of my nose with a concealer brush.

Blush

I recently ran out of my Nars powder blush and wanted to replace it with a clean product. I also felt like the powder formula wasn’t working for me anymore. It highlighted my fine lines and wrinkles and disappeared into my dry skin. Cream blushes seem to be the answer, and the first one I tried was Beautycounter’s Color Pinch Cream Blusher. It gives my cheeks a dewy finish, and you can use it on your lips too! I apply a small amount to the apples of my cheeks and, using tapping motions, blend it upwards towards my temples with a beauty blender.

Mascara

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect mascara for years. I kept hearing everyone raving about Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara and had to see what all of the hype was about. It’s a fiber mascara, and it’s good! It makes my lashes look super long, stays on all day, is easy to remove, and doesn’t clump or flake. It’s pricey, but it’s a clean product, and Thrive Causemetics gives back. For every product purchased, they donate a product to a woman experiencing cancer, homelessness, or domestic violence.

Lips

I usually only wear lipstick when I go out. For every day, French Girl Organics Le Lip Tint is my favorite. It moisturizes, glides on, and gives your lips a hint of color.

That’s my basic, get ready in a flash, 5-minute makeup routine! I hope this was helpful and gave you some new ideas for trying products!
