Happy Monday! Did everyone enjoy the weekend? It was a beautiful 60 degrees in Chicago and the perfect weather for the St Patrick’s day parade. Speaking of St Patrick’s day, my friend Colleen had a St Patrick’s Day/Bon Voyage party for another family and us in our neighborhood who are also moving next month. I made this delicious Green Sangria recipe that Carrie from Curly Crafty Mom posted last week. It was a refreshing change from a traditional red sangria and the perfect drink to celebrate the beginning of spring! Anyway, today I’m sharing a green and white St. Patrick’s Day outfit.
I’m also happy to be collaborating with my friend Susan from Charming Lucy to show you two outfits to get your green on for St Patrick’s Day. Susan styled her green sweater with leopard slip-ons and added a pink pop with her Kendra Scott tassel necklace. What I like about her outfit is that it’s festive without being over the top. Make sure you stop by Susan’s blog today to say hello and see the rest of her outfit photos!
We still had plenty of snow on the ground when I took my photos. But, after a warm weekend, most of it is gone, and it’s so nice to see grass. For my green and white St. Patrick’s day outfit, I layered a green button-up and sweatshirt with my white jeans and riding boots. The brown riding boots warm up the look and help winterize it. This look was perfect for taking me to the St Patrick’s day festivities without being overboard on the green.
