What We’ve Been Up To
Packing to get my daughter ready to move across the country. These space saver bags were a lifesaver! They’re the jumbo size and come in a pack of 8.
I know it wasn’t easy, but we finally convinced her to pare down a few things and leave them at home.
I’ve also been working on my summer bucket list. Despite how busy this month was, I did manage to check off a few things…
Not brunch per my list, but still, girlfriend time. Attended First Friday with my girlfriend where local shops stay open late, serve wine, and some have live music. It’s always fun to walk around, sip and shop! This sign cracked me up!
We made it a point to eat outside on the patio as much as possible. You can see my little sliver of a view of our lake.
My husband and I had a day date at a wine and jazz fest earlier this month. Side note, I just noticed the guy in the back of this pic and it looks like he had too much wine! 😁
Last weekend our old neighborhood had their annual Cooperation of the Bands event. It was a perfect sunny 70-degree day and so lovely to spend the day outside friends listening to music!
What I’m Dreading
College drop-off. This quote sums it up!
What I’m Watching
Succession on HBO. The series is about the lives of a fictional family that controls one of the biggest media and entertainment conglomerates in the world.
What I’m Listening To
I’m a huge fan of Gretchen Rubin, and I started listening to her Happier podcast this month. The episodes are quick, about 30 minutes, and she gives little tidbits of advice the center around habits to make you happier.

What I’m Doing This Weekend
Flying out to the east coast bright and early on Friday to drop our daughter off at college. She moves in Saturday, and then we’re flying back Sunday night. Coming home to an empty nest is going to be bittersweet!
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month
Keeping busy. I’ll be going to First Friday again with my girlfriends, a vintage car show with the hubs and hosting a care package party with a group of moms to send our college girls a huge group care package!
