Elina Organics Spa Chicago

The older I get, the more I realize the importance of adding facials into my skin-care routine. Not only do facials improve your skins tone and texture, but they also counteract the damaging effects of everyday environmental toxins like pollution.

My skin always glows and feels amazing after a facial and the results last for weeks. Elina Organics Spa reached out to me recently for a complimentary facial and to experience their Chicago spa. I knew it was perfect timing to have some “me” time and give my skin some love! They are located in the Gold Coast on Walton Street right off Michigan Avenue.

My Visit to Elina Organics

Elina Organics facials are not one size fits all, they are customized for your skin’s needs. When I arrived, I was greeted by my aesthetician, Kasandra, who got me settled in one of their cozy spa rooms with a cup of tea. I completed a questionnaire, and then we discussed my skin so she could customize what my skin needed at that time. The treatment I received was their Crushed Amber Rejuvenating Facial which is especially beneficial for sun-damaged skin.

Elina Organics Spa

My facial started with a botanical cleanser and steaming. Kasandra then used a glass vacuum attachment to clean out my pores, plump fine lines and increase my skin’s circulation. I was amazed at how much gunk was extracted from my skin!

Next, my skin was exfoliated with honey granules mixed with a crushed amber rejuvenating scrub enriched with succinic acid, co-enzyme Q-10, a blend of natural vitamins, soy phospholipids, and arnica. A gemstone roller was used to massage my face to help with lymphatic drainage and remove dead skin cells.

The scrub was followed by a reflexology massage, a customized peel, and then an Ambra firming herbal mask was applied. The mask was removed with a warm herbal compress. Finishing steps were a rejuvenating massage with Elina transdermal, bioengergized products to my face, eyes, and neck.

Kasandra made sure I was comfortable and talked me through each step, explaining each treatment and how it benefited my skin.

My skin was glowing and was noticeably brighter and firmer. If you are local to Chicago or in the city for a visit, I highly recommend Elina Organics! Did I mention that they were voted best skincare spa to banish dry skin in 2109 by Chicago Magazine? I will be booking a winter facial with them in the upcoming months when my skin will be ready for another pampering treatment!

Kasandra also graciously sent me off with a goodie bag of products to use at home.
