Happy Friday Eve! I don’t know about you but this week seemed extra long. Even though we will probably be hanging out at home, I’m looking forward to the weekend. With the COVID numbers spiking everywhere and all of the restaurants closed for indoor dining, we rarely have plans anymore other than supporting those restaurants with takeout. Like everyone else, our holiday plans will be a little different this year too. Normally we host a Christmas Eve gathering for 35 and it will now be the 4 of us. But, just because it won’t be a large affair, doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t have fun and dress up. Today I wanted to share a casual glam outfit idea for the holidays.
My top is the Evie Tie Neck Blouse from Kay Celine, and I’m excited to share this women-owned business with you. Kay Celine was born when 25 years ago when Kay was working in the corporate world and was frustrated with the lack of choices for corporate clothing. She was determined to break away from boring corporate clothes and create feminine pieces to accessorize her suited attire. Kay Celine’s collection is feminine, functional, practical, and chic. All designed and manufactured in Los Angeles. I love the flowy silk long-sleeves of this blouse and the tie neck detail adds a sophisticated flourish that glams up my denim and knee-high boots. A classic gold coin necklace will always be on-trend and it’s something that I reach for over and over as a finishing touch to my outfit.

Creating a casual glam outfit is all about adding a little glitz to a relaxed look. Adding a key feminine piece, like this blouse, to your everyday jeans and boots adds some fun to your outfit and gives it the glam vibe. Start with a piece that you are comfortable in; your favorite jeans, sweater, or top. Next, add that fun piece that will make your outfit a little extra; sequin joggers, a feminine top, faux fur vest…the options are endless!
