Happy Friday Eve! I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to the weekend. We have PLANS tomorrow tonight! As in actually getting out of the house and going somewhere! We haven’t gotten together with anyone since early November. As much as I’ve gotten used to and appreciate being at home with my family, going out to a small socially distanced gathering is going to be a nice change of pace. We’ll be outdoors and wearing masks so I’m pretty comfortable with that. We also have my Mom and daughter’s birthday celebrations on Sunday. And, it’s the last weekend at home before our daughter goes back to college. Today, for Thursday Fashion Files, I’m sharing a midi skirt and combat boots combo.
You may think that combat boots are too bold and chunky to wear with anything other than jeans, but they’re actually extremely versatile. They look great with leggings, trousers, overalls, and shorts, and they look just as fabulous with dresses and skirts. The juxtaposition of the feminine midi skirt and the edgy combat boots is a fun and unexpected combination. Back in the day, my Doc’s were my go-to shoe with everything from denim to dresses. This outfit pairing is giving me all of those 90’s vibes!
