Fall 2023 Handbag Trends

There was a time when I collected trendy handbags and would change my bag with every outfit. At some point, I gravitated to wearing the same handbag seasonally and only changing it if it impacted what I was wearing. There’s no denying that a great bag can instantly elevate your outfit. So, with summer coming to an end, today I’m sharing fall 2023 handbag trends.

Fall Bag Trends

The Best Bag Color for Fall

Shades without color have traditionally been considered neutrals, but olive green is an unexpected color that goes with everything. It’s time to consider olive green as the new black.

Red was all over the runways this year, and it’s popping up everywhere this fall. A red statement handbag is the ideal way to add a flash of color to your outfit without being over the top.

Anohter classic handbag color that will never go out of style is brown. A faux crocodile bag is an excellent option because it adds texture and instantly elevates your outfits.

Trending Handbag Shapes

Half-moon or crescent shape bags continue to be popular. Their key feature is the curve on the base. This style is a must this fall season if you have a minimalist style.

The round silhouettes we saw this summer continue, and fall’s circle bags have steeped it up with perfectly spherical options.

Bucket bags appeared again on the runways, and fall collections include more interesting details like croc texture, cutouts, embellishments, and embroidery.

Other Fall Bag Trends

Structured top-handle bags have always been an elegant option, and this classic trend is still going strong. There’s something about a top-handled bag that gives your look an understated feminine vibe.

Chain straps are a timeless feature on designer handbags and have traditionally been on the delicate side. This season’s bolder versions add an edgy twist to a classic bag.

Faux fur and shearling accessories were all over the fall runways and are a fun and chic way to add warmth to your fall and winter outfits.
