Hope all of the Mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day and were able to do something special for yourself or with your family! We had beautiful weather and I had the perfect weekend. On Friday, I had to go into one of our stores for work so I wore the outfit on the top in the morning. I picked up my daughter from a school trip in the afternoon and we went out for dinner so I added a tee and converse for the more casual look on the bottom. I love that this skirt has pockets!

On Saturday I met friends for shopping, dinner and a movie. It was such a relaxing day not having to worry about any other obligations. I am still holding myself to a shopping ban and I'm happy to report that I didn't buy anything!

Jeans: Gap

Nothing says it's summer more than bright shorts. I had to get up at the crack of dawn to help with my daughter's swim meet. I don't like getting up early on weekends, especially on Mother's Day, but we were home by noon and spent the day on the patio while my husband smoked prime rib on the smoker. It was the best meal I have had all year!

Thanks Becky!
DeleteYou look divine (as usual). Loving the first two outfits with the full skirt and the pink shorts with striped shirt. I must have missed it that you live in Chicago - one of the greatest cities there are. I love it so much. Where about? We were/are neighbors since I lived in Michigan for 15 years (have you been)? Also, how old is your daughter? How cool that you are the official of your daughter's swim team and you get to go to dinner with her. I cannot wait till Vivian is a little older so I can do things with her. =)
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the nice words about my blog. Aww, just made my Friday.
Thanks Ada! I've been to Michigan a few times for work and when I was younger to ski. My daughter is a teen and it goes by so fast so savor every single moment with Vivian!
DeleteYes to skirts with pockets and congrats on sticking to your shopping ban!! Way to go! Susan
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan! I'm still in the stage where I'm trying to remix my closet so even though I see things on other bloggers that I would love to have, I've been able to stick to it!
DeleteThat mint/teal cardigan is such a wonderful color on you! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna! I'm obsessed with the mint color right now!
DeleteLove these! The pink shorts with the black and white top is my favorite!

DeleteGreat looks, Jill. My favorite? I'm torn between the gray sweater (gorgeous!) with the pink scarf and the pink shorts and striped top. It's interesting to see how you have to dress for various seasons right now. Chicago weather is crazy!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pauline! I love bright shorts for summer!
DeleteI love seeing your style diary of sorts...what you wore, where you wore it. It's the epitome of what originally drew me to fashion blogs and I wish there were more like yours! All of your outfits are polished and realistic- lots of great pieces and outfit inspiration.
