Peach & Prosciutto Crostini - Doused in Pink - a fashion and lifestyle blog

Peach & Prosciutto Crostini

Peach Crostini is one of my favorite go to summer appetizers.  It's a fresh change from a tomato crostini or bruschetta and it's quick and easy to make.  You can find several variations of this online and below is the recipe I have been using for many years.  I made this twice in the past week: for a happy hour and an outdoor concert. It's always a hit!

Ingredients (serves 12)
12 slices of chiabatta bread
2 ripe peaches
12 slices prosciutto
Ricotta cheese
Honey
Black pepper

Directions
Brush the chiabatta slices with olive oil and toast under the broiler or on a grill.  Thinly slice the peaches.

On each slice of bread, spread the ricotta cheese then sprinkle with black pepper.  Add a slice of prosciutto and drizzle with honey.  Top with 2 or 3 sliced peaches.

For the outdoor concert, I prepped the ingredients and assembled when we got to our destination so the bread didn't get soggy.

What is your favorite summer appetizer?

  4. I have never heard of anything like this but once again, sounds delicious Jill! Thanks for sharing it. The flavors seem like they would blend really well and I love that it's no-bake. So nice not to have to turn on the oven when it's hot, plus I hate trying to figure out how transport hot appetizers and have them fresh when you arrive!
