Remember the days of “laying out”? Back in the day, I paid no attention to sunscreen, I just wanted to be tan, but my fair skin always burned. I was always so envious of my friends, who were beautifully bronzed. Fast forward to my adult years, and I’ve had several basal cell carcinomas removed, which is not fun. Instead of sitting in the sun on our patio, I’m on our covered front porch out of the sun’s harmful rays, and a self-tanner is my best friend. I wish I could go back and tell my younger self to be more careful in the sun. I also wish there were more stylish sun-protective clothing options back then!

Those facts are eye-opening. I think now more than ever, most of us use sunscreen as part of our daily routines and never leave the house without our sunglasses to protect our eyes.
