Summer Sephora Haul | Products to Try

Sephora Haul Summer 2020

Did you have a good weekend? We hung out with friends on Saturday, and my husband made some filets with his sous vide. He plated them with parmesan grits and grilled veggies. It was delicious! Other than that, I spent a lot of time lounging and doing things around the house. We discovered and binged watched The Genetic Detective. It’s a non-fiction series that uses genealogy to solve cold cases. If you’re a fan of true crime or genealogy, I highly recommend it! Anyway, I’m excited to share my summer Sephora haul with you! You know I love trying new products, and after being quarantined at home for so long, I was ready to switch up my makeup. Here’s what came home with me and my reviews.

Sephora Summer Haul

Tatcha Luminous Dewey Skin Mist

My skin is dry, and I wanted to try a setting spray that was hydrating and would give my skin a refreshing boost mid-day when needed. It makes my makeup look flawless and gives that dewy finish. I love that this brand gives back by supporting girls’ education around the world through the Room to Read Foundation.

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen

This is hands down my favorite sunscreen, and I’ve repurchased this multiple times. It’s actually a primer with SPF 40, and I love that it does double duty. It goes on smooth,  completely clear, and your skin feels like velvet.

Milk Makeup Flex Concealer

I’ve tried lots of concealers over the past year, and this is currently my favorite and the second time I’ve purchased it. It gives you buildable coverage and doesn’t look cakey. One thing to note, it does not have the clean at Sephora stamp of approval. However, it’s free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehyde, and phthalates. EWG rates it a 3, so I still feel pretty good about using it.

Tarte Sea Water Foundation SPF 15

I’m usually not a fan of foundations, preferring a tinted moisturizer or BB cream. I was really impressed right out of the gate with this product. It’s lightweight and hydrating, yet buildable and I love that it dispenses with a dropper and has SPF.

ILIA Multistick

I was deciding between this and the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush and ultimately went with the multi stick. It’s buildable, blends easily, and you can use it on your eyes and lips too.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil

I’ve been using this brow pencil for years. It’s easy to use, super-precise, long-lasting, and the pencil itself lasts a long time too.

Baby Brush Crush Heated Straightening Brush

I have baby-fine and slightly wavy hair and purchased the mini because I thought I wouldn’t need the full-size brush. Plus, you couldn’t beat the price—$ 59 for the mini versus $145 for the full-size. I shared how easy it was to use on my Insta stories a few weeks ago.  It heats up quickly to 400 degrees, and you simply brush sections of your hair. Within a few minutes, you have super straight and smooth hair! My daughter has long, super thick hair and didn’t have the same results as me. So, if your hair is thicker or curly, you probably want to check out the full-size brush.
