How to Wear Palm Print In Fall

School started for us last week, and I feel like summer is quickly winding down. Fall sports are in full swing, and the first HS swim meet is tonight! I’m never ready to give up warm weather, but I am excited about fall fashion! Today I wanted to show you how you can wear the summery palm print into fall.

Fall Styling Tip - Palm Print

Fall Fashion Trends

Speaking of fall fashion, one trend that I loved, but didn’t try last year, was velvet. Velvet is so ’90s and 90’s inspired throwback looks are still going strong. I recall a black velvet swing dress styled with a black hat and my Doc Marten’s on repeat back in the day. I wish I had a photo to share! I’m also all over the grunge vibe. Speaking of, have you seen the R13 collection? The grunge factor has been reworked, and I love the slip dresses and cozy sweater dresses in this lot.

Tropical Prints

A closet inventory is on my to-do list to see what I have and what I need/want to add to my wardrobe this fall. In the meantime, I’m shopping my closet and transitioning as many of my summer favorites as I can. Tropical prints have been on repeat all summer and today I wanted to show you how to transition palm print for cooler weather.

My swing dress is an ON purchase from earlier this summer. It’s the same comfy jersey knit as this dress, and the darker print makes it ideal for fall styling. To wear my palm print dress in the fall, I added my utility vest (last seen here), some layered necklaces, and my cut-out booties. I can also see styling this dress with either a utility or denim jacket, trade the necklaces for a scarf, and the booties for tall boots!
