Everyday Style – What I Wore

Hope all of the Mom’s out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day and were able to do something special for yourself or with your family!  We had beautiful weather and I had the perfect weekend. On Friday, I had to go into one of our stores for work so I wore the outfit on the top in the morning. I picked up my daughter from a school trip in the afternoon and we went out for dinner so I added a tee and converse for the more casual look on the bottom.I love that this skirt has pockets!

On Saturday I met friends for shopping, dinner and a movie.  It was such a relaxing day not having to worry about any other obligations. I am still holding myself to a shopping ban and I’m happy to report that I didn’t buy anything!

Nothing says it’s summer more than bright shorts. I had to get up at the crack of dawn to help with my daughter’s swim meet. I don’t like getting up early on weekends, especially on Mother’s Day, but we were home by noon and spent the day on the patio while my husband smoked prime rib on the smoker. It was the best meal I have had all year!

I put today’s outfit together according to the Instagram style themes (Minty Fresh and I’ve Had This More Than 5 Years). The morning was warm but then the temperature dropped 20 degrees and I had to change into jeans and a scarf.

A friend had bought this sweater and decided she didn’t like it, so she gave it to me.  I really like the lace detail and how it cinches at the waist.  A rainy, cold day called for my Hunter’s.
