Button-up shirt, sweater, statement necklace…it’s an easy look that has been my uniform all winter. I have several of these crewneck sweaters that I reach for every week. A basic sweater doesn’t have to be dull. To add interest to a basic sweater, I opted for a plaid button-up instead of a solid color. Plaid shirts also seem to be the right weight for layering without being bulky, and the print gives the look some added personality. Finishing up with a statement necklace transforms this simple outfit into something special!
Styling tip: keep the collar out, rollup the sleeves, and leave the bottom untucked.

My pick this week is Valerie from The Style Files! Her winter look is cute and cozy, and I love the stripe and herringbone pattern mix!
