DIY Pencil Holders

Summer has really flown by this year! While I feel like it has barely gotten started, school actually starts up again in just 3 weeks. We went school supply shopping over the weekend and that got me thinking it was probably time to organize my desk and office. I thought it would be fun to make some cute pencil holders to brighten up my desk space. I had an abundance of old cans that I had been saving and thought this would be a fun and easy way to repurpose them!

 ~ Supplies ~

Old soup/vegatable cans (any size)

Craft paper

Double sided tape

Paper trimmer or ruler, pencil and scissors

~ Instructions ~

Measure the width and diameter of the can, then cut your paper to size with a little extra for overlap.

Place a strip of double sided tape on the back of each end of the width of the paper. Position on can, then wrap the paper around it and press to adhere.

That’s it! Repeat on as many can’s as you’d like and then fill them.

These are perfect to keep your pens and craft supplies organized.

I’ve also made these in the past to use as utensil holders for parties. Just switch up the paper to match your theme!

These would also make a cute gift for someone going off to college, a new job or for a teacher!
