3 Ways to Update Your Bathroom on a Budget

Our master bath has been neglected since we moved in our home almost two years ago, and for good reason. It’s extremely tiny and a major revamp is out of the question. With that said, I am a firm believer that small updates can make a huge impact. I’ve got three easy and budget friendly ways to refresh and update your bathroom for the new year!

As you can see in the before shots, the small shelving unit is crammed with makeup, styling tools, Sephora Play bags, extra towels and other random stuff. There’s virtually nothing on the sink and a huge blank space above the toilet.

1) New bath linens will instantly refresh a space and is the easiest way to get started. Have you heard of Crane & Canopy? They’re an online home brand that offers luxury bedding and bath linens without the department store markup. Crane & Canopy cuts out all the high prices and fuss when it comes to buying bedding and bath towels so you can enjoy beautifully designed and the most luxurious linens at accessible prices.

Crane & Canopy bath towels are plush, soft and absorbent. They’re loomed with 700 gram Turkish cotton and have a unique loop for hanging to dry. Affordably priced, you can purchase them individually or in specialty bundles. With no windows in the room, I wanted the space to be light and airy. Cool blues keep things cheery and bright so I chose their classic blue bath towels.

2) Accessories are a great way to add some color and give your space a new look. I up-cycled some mason jars, painted them and turned them into a soap dispenser, vase and storage for my cotton rounds, q-tips and makeup brushes.

3)
Use storage as part of your decor. Hide the hair dryer, flat iron, etc with decorative storage bins. I picked these up at TJ Maxx for $5.99 each. The clutter is gone but the contents are still easily accessible.

Shopping your home is a great and free way to make things seem new again! The white bath rug was an extra stored away, the art came from my office and the farmhouse tiered basket was in the entryway. In less than an hour, my bathroom was revived!
