3 Ways to Wear Green on St Patrick’s Day

I have some friends and family members who take St Patrick’s Day very seriously. It’s all about wearing green, drinking green beer and dining on corned beef and cabbage. For me, I like to celebrate by incorporating some green into my outfit without being over the top. So, with St Patrick’s Day festivities kicking off this weekend, I wanted to share some inspiration on how to wear green and still look stylish!

Outfit #1

St Patrick’s day is all about having fun so why not have some fun with your outfit details too! The little pom poms on this scarf pop against the green and while not gold, the metallic flats add another festive touch!

Outfit #2

You can’t predict the Chicago weather, so I had to throw in an outfit with a cozy kelly green sweater. Last worn here with a bold, colorful scarf, I swapped it for a statement pendant necklace. After reading Gina’s post on Four Ways to Wear Scrunch Boots, I remembered that I had this pair in my closet, purchased several years ago, that were begging to be worn. Side note, a good pair of boots is an easy way to elevate a look!

Outfit #3

Don’t feel like you have to wear kelly, lime or any other bright green variation. If you don’t think you can pull off the traditional Irish green, opt for olive or forest green. Wear your utility jacket over a chambray top and denim to create a subtle, yet festive outfit!
