What to Wear for Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving dinner outfit idea

Happy Friday Eve! Do you have any plans for the weekend? Saturday is my birthday, and I’m hoping to have a few friends over and have my husband smoke a prime rib on the Big Green Egg. November seems to be sailing by. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I wanted to share my simple outfit formula with you and what to wear for Thanksgiving dinner.

Casual Outfit Formula

We are pretty relaxed on Thanksgiving. I like to be put together but comfortable for a big day of eating, and my outfit formula is comfy jeans + big shirt + cardigan or oversized sweater. This outfit checks all of the boxes: stylish, colorful, and comfortable.

What Colors to Wear on Thanksgiving

I like to style outfits with a variety of fall colors. Rusts, oranges, tans, browns, and blacks. This rust-colored duster cardigan, from Old Navy, is the perfect layering piece to go over a flannel shirt. Rust and black always pair well together, so I opted for black denim. A tan baseball hat completed the look.

What Shoes to Wear on Thanksgiving

My shoes need to be cushy too! I was recently introduced to Jambu, and today I’m styling the chic Roma ankle boot! This is the Whiskey color, made with smooth premium leather, memory foam footbed, and block heel. They’re perfect for my casual Thanksgiving dinner outfit.

The debossed detailing and elasticized sides make slipping them on and off on a cinch, and the non-slip Terra outsole grips the ground, so you don’t slip. These ankle booties come in black as well, and you can check out Jambu’s entire boot collection here! Use code DOUSEDINPINK19 for 20% off through November 26th!
