Happy Friday Eve, friends! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? We don’t have a lot going on and will most likely be working on house projects and enjoying long walks with Lana if it’s warm enough. I’m longing for spring, but the weather here in the midwest is nowhere near that yet. We’re headed into that period of unpredictable weather. You know, one day it will be 55 degrees where you want to break out your shorts and tees, and the next, 25 and snowing again. So, today I’ve styled a winter to spring transition outfit that is under $100, head to toe.
Winter to Spring Transition Outfit
My number one tip for creating the perfect winter to spring transition outfit is to lighten up your layers. Swapping out your darker denim for a light wash pair of jeans is refreshing. I was pleasantly surprised with I tried on this pair from Walmart’s Free Assembly line. The wide-leg is on-trend and they’re super flattering. They fit true to size and are under $30.
Put away your bulky jewel-toned cardigans and try a cropped version in a lighter hue. This cardigan hits right at the hips and has a relaxed boyfriend fit. The heathered knit gives it a 90’s vibe. I completed the outfit with a pair of lug sole boots. My entire look, head to toe, is under $100, including this darling quilted backpack/crossbody bag. You probably already have similar pieces in your closet, but I have included shopping links below if not.
