How Chicwish Quality and Pricing Compares to Other Brands

Almost everything on the Chicwish site is under $100, with an average price of $50. The quality is similar to brands like ASOS, Modcloth, or Zara. It’s essential to read the reviews for the pieces you’re considering. I’ve always been pleasantly surprised with the quality of Chicwish clothing and think it’s consistent with the pricing. My Chicwish pieces have washed well and maintained their shape.

Is Chicwish Sizing True to Size?

I’ve found the sizing to be pretty consistent for the most part. I always refer to the sizing charts to compare exact measurements and read the reviews. It’s important to note that many sweaters and skirts run S/M and M/L, so consider that when shopping. A feature that I always think is helpful is to see a piece styled in real life. For many items, you’ll see an Instagram carousel at the bottom of the page showing the item styled by a customer or influencer. If there aren’t photos, I usually will skip that item.

Chicwish is based in China. Your orders are fulfilled and shipped from China. Processing time is 3 – 4 days, and you’ll receive your order in 8 – 12 business days after it has shipped. The items I ordered this spring arrived in less than two weeks. It’s good to know that Chicwish updated its return policy for orders placed after September 3, 2021. If you are in the US, returns are now free! That gives me extra confidence when I’m making a purchase.

Minty Lemon Printed Tie-Strap Maxi Dress

There’s something about lemon print that always has me thinking of summer. I love the fresh and fun pattern. This dress is lined and has a smocked zippered back and shoulder ties. It fits true to size, and for reference, I’m wearing a small.

Knit Your Love V-Neck Sweater

We all know pink is my favorite color, and I couldn’t resist the fun heart pom-pom detail on this sweater. The soft, lighter-weight knit is perfect for spring. It hits just below the hips, so you can wear it untucked too. This sweater runs in the S/M and L/XL sizing. I’m wearing an S/M, and it fits perfectly.

Vacay Paradise Gradient Maxi Dress

This dress is a show stopper with its gorgeous ombre effect and ruffled high/low hem. I brought this dress with me to Las Vegas. The v-neck is extremely low, and I didn’t have a bralette, so I made do with my halftee layered underneath. It runs big, so I recommend sizing down. I’m wearing a small, but I think an extra small would fit better. This dress would be a cute beach coverup and look great unbuttoned as a duster. This dress is one of the pricier items at $79. But, also an exact dupe of this dress that retails for $427.

Tie Waist Front Pocket Buttoned Blazer

I’ve been wearing blazers more and more as a completer piece and love the soft pink color. The sash tie is removable so that you can wear it as a traditional blazer. It’s lined and has slightly padded shoulders and front pockets. It runs true to size. For reference, I’m wearing a Small.

We Know It All Mesh Tulle Dress

I love how unique this dress is, and it gives me all the glam vibes. The tan and navy gradient is beautiful. The dress comes with a removable nude cami, and the skirt portion is lined. I added a belt to add definition to the waist. Again, this has the S/M, L/XL sizing, and I’m wearing an S/M.

Palm Leaf Print Halter Maxi Dress

I had high hopes for this dress and thought it would be perfect for any summer event. The halter neck, a-line silhouette, and cutout back are flattering. But, sadly, it did not fit well on me. It’s tight across the chest and gaps near the armpits. I’m wearing a size small.

Overall Thoughts

I love the unique vintage style and wide range of clothing offered at Chicwish. I’ve only had sizing issues with a few items over the years and have found that most of the pieces run true to size. Chicwish is a little more expensive than other overseas brands, but the quality is also higher and matches the price point. If you are looking for a brand that offers a mix of retro, glam, and boho style, you should check them out!
