Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! We kicked ours off with our dinner group on Friday night. On Saturday, my husband joined me to run a few errands and we ended up stopping in a local bar for a late lunch of prime rib. I remember going to this spot with my parents for prime rib when I was in high school, and it’s kind of crazy that it’s still around. I woke up early on Sunday to meet a friend for breakfast and the rest of the day was spent doing things around the house. Anyway, it’s back to work today and it’s also the last week of the month. So, I’ll be linking up with Shay and Sheaffer on Wednesday for What’s Up Wednesday. Here’s what I’ve been up to and life lately in February.
What I’ve Been Up To
Doused in Pink had a 10-year birthday last week. Can you believe that? I created Doused in Pink at the encouragement of my daughter when she was in 7th grade. Boy does time fly; she’s out of college and living on her own now. You can read my blogversary post here.

Lana started a nose work training class. It involves the dog seeking out and finding different scents hidden in various environments. It’s a fun activity for her and a great way to work her brain.
It’s been a few years since I’ve been to a hockey game. Our friends treated my husband and me to a Blackhawks game a few weeks ago. We were in a corporate box and received royal treatment. It was such a fun night and the Hawks pulled off a win in OT.
My workouts were paused when I hurt my back in January. After one issue after the next, I finally started working out again this month. There’s never enough time in the day for me to spend the time I’d like to at the gym, so I’ve put swimming on the back burner and am focusing my workouts on strength training and yoga.

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month
Our wedding anniversary is coming up in March, and I’m planning a mini getaway to celebrate. We will also be taking a quick road trip to visit our daughter. And painting. As soon as the paint went up in our hallway and stairway two and a half years ago, we knew we didn’t choose well. We’re finally repainting, and I cannot wait for the transformation.
