Denim is part of my daily uniform, and sometimes I get tired of it and want something a little different. I found these striped wide-leg pants at Target and have been wearing them on repeat lately. Striped pants might seem tricky to style at first, but once you figure out what works with them, they’re a surprisingly easy way to switch up your outfit game.
I styled my striped pants seven different ways, I can confidently say, they go with way more than you’d think. If you’ve ever stood in front of your closet thinking, “What do I wear with striped pants?” Here’s some outfit inspiration to get you started.
7 Outfits with Striped Pants
1 – With a Floral Cardigan
Stripes and florals? It’s a combo that always works. I went with a boxy floral cardigan and neutral mules to keep things simple. It’s an easy everyday look that still feels pulled together.

2 – Red Top + Wedge Sandals
This is a classic combo that always feels fresh. This outfit would be perfect for Memorial Day or Independence Day.

3 – Striped Pants + Denim Vest
This outfit is laid-back and fun. The denim vest adds structure, and the sneakers keep it casual. It’s one of those outfits you throw on when you’re not sure what the day holds, but still want to look like you thought about it.

4 – Basic tee + red flats
I kept things simple with a basic tee and added red slingback flats to make the outfit pop. This is another effortless look you could wear to a Memorial Day BBQ or July 4th fireworks.

5 – workwear outfit
When in doubt, go with a white button-up. It works with everything and gives these pants a more polished feel. I added denim heels to make it feel a little more elevated, but you could just as easily swap in loafers or sandals.

6 – Neutrals + striped pants
A lightweight neutral sweater tucked into the striped pants feels effortless but put together. The cognac mules add some warmth and texture without competing with the stripes.

7 – with a yellow sweater
This might be the happiest combo of the bunch. A cheerful yellow sweater and clean white sneakers make these pants feel playful and low-key.

The key to styling striped pants is to treat them like a neutral. Whether you lean into color, texture, or simplicity, there’s a lot of room to experiment. I hope this post gave you some ideas of what to wear with striped pants! Which outfit is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
