Transition Your Favorite Summer Dress to Fall

I love fall, but one of the things that I will miss about the warm weather is how easy it is to wear a summer dress! You add a great pair of shoes and your ready to go. Although it's getting colder out, you don't have to pack away your summer dresses just yet. With a few styling tricks you can transition your summer favorites into fall.

One of the easiest ways to wear your summer dress in the fall is to pair it with a form fitting sweater. I styled my eShakti Hula Girl sundress (last seen here) with a navy sweater, statement necklace and booties.

There are so many ways you can transition your summer dresses. Add tights, tall boots, and a leather jacket, or a tee shirt with a vest and statement necklace. How have you been transitioning your summer pieces to fall?

Thanks for stopping by and reading today! I hope you will come back and I'd love it if you followed along with me on FacebookBloglovin or Google +.

  3. I love adding cardigans, tights, and boots to make a summer dress more fall-appropriate, but I haven't really tried adding a sweater to make a dress look like a skirt...I'll definitely be testing it out this season!

  4. Yes! I forget how easy and fresh it is to continue to wear my favorite summer dresses underneath a great fall sweater! Thanks for the reminder! I love this look on you so much. Plus, I think I need those booties in my closet ASAP! :)

  5. What a fun, creative way to wear your summer dress! It's funny how you wouldn't even know it was a dress underneath the sweater, it just looks like a skirt. And it goes great with those booties.

  34. I love how you style a dress resembling 50's to something modern and chic. Think about how boring if the top is white? Your choice of navy blue is absolutely smart.
BTW, I just noticed one your photos in the upper right corner, I love the coral tank, floral blazer and distressed jeans you put together.

    Have a nice day!
