Simple Monogram Wreath DIY for Spring

I love wreaths. I hang them for all occasions. I rarely find a wreath that I like in the store, and if I do, it always tends to be pricy. Sometimes it’s easier to use that for inspiration and make your own. This simple monogram wreath DIY was put together in about 20 minutes and cost less than $15 to make!

Wreath Supplies

Straw or foam wreath form. Hobby Lobby was out of the foam wreath forms, so I used straw.

Burlap ribbon

Floral wire

Wooden Initial

Green craft paint

How to Make a Monogram Wreath

The first thing I did to make my simple monogram wreath was paint both sides of the initial, so it would have time to dry.

I used this cute green chevron burlap ribbon and wrapped it around the wreath form. Staple the ribbon to the back every few wraps to ensure it does not unravel.

Make a bow with the ribbon for the top of the wreath. Bows are always a struggle for me, but this one turned out okay. This bow maker is currently in my Amazon cart. It’s got over 7000 positive reviews, and you could make some pretty unique bows with it.

I attached the initial with some twine and then attached the bow using floral wire.

I love how this simple monogram wreath DIY turned out! If you want to make this DIY for a different season, just change up the colors of the burlap ribbon and paint. Try red, white, and blue for July 4th, rust tones for fall, or red and pink for Valentine’s Day.
