I’m back again this month, partnering with Simply Earth to share their December Essential Oils Recipe Box! If you’re not familiar, Simply Earth essential oils are globally sourced and tested for 100% purity. Plants are grown throughout the best regions where they will thrive. After they are harvested, they collect the natural essential oils through cold-pressing or steam distillation. Simply Earth’s mission is to make your home natural at an affordable price.
They also give back by helping people whose beauty has been abused. 13% of their profits go to help fight human trafficking. Each month they highlight one organization so you can learn more and get involved. There are 40+ million people estimated to be trapped in prostitution, and 98% are women and girls. In December, they are partnering with and giving 13% to Night Light Bangkok. Night Light Bangkok offers holistic intervention and restoration for women, families, and communities affected by the global sex industry. They also offer dignifying employment and personal development opportunities to women who have come out of prostitution or trafficking in Thailand with their Night Light Design jewelry business.
The Simply Earth Essential Oils Recipe Box is a monthly subscription box that comes with all of the ingredients, containers, and extras you need to make five natural essential oil recipes. This is great if you love natural DIY products but don’t have time to gather all of the ingredients! But, you don’t need a subscription to purchase from Simply Earth. They sell their oils individually as well!

Peppermint cooling and great for easing headaches, inflammation, and congestion.
Pine Scotch smells like pine trees. It relieves pain and is a decongestant.
Mandarin relaxes, calms, cleans, soothes sore muscles, and uplifts.
Candy Cane Blend made with peppermint, wintergreen sweet orange, and cassia essential oils, this smells like the classic Christmas treat.

2. Candy Cane Lip Balm
3. Cold Buster Roll-On
4. Peppermint and Pine Salve
5. Mandarin and Coffee Sugar Scrub
The diffuser recipe this month is a blend of Candy Cane and Mandarin that gives off a seasonally sweet aroma! Note that this blend is not safe for cats or dogs.
Peppermint & Pine Salve
This homemade vapor rub helps open up the sinuses and clear congestion.
Melt beeswax and coconut oil in a double boiler.
Add essential oils and stir to combine.
Pour mixture into a tin and allow it to cool to room temperature.
To use, apply to chest for a natural decongestant. Estimated shelf life is 1 year.
Mandarin & Coffee Sugar Scrub
I love a good scrub, especially one made with natural ingredients. Coffee helps reduce inflammation and puffiness and sugar helps your skin retain moisture. Not only do they remove dead skin cells, but they also help increase circulation, improve the texture of your skin and give your skin a nice glow.
Melt coconut oil in a double boiler. Add fractionated coconut oil and mandarin essential oil and stir to combine. Stir in coffee and sugar until fully incorporated.
Store in a sealable container. To use, apply a small amount in a circular motion on wet skin to exfoliate. If time allows, allow the scrub to sit for about 10 minutes before rinsing. Estimated shelf life is 6 weeks.
What did you think of this month’s recipe box? Would you use any of these recipes?
