How to Wear Spring Green

how to wear spring green

I get it, bright colors can be intimidating. Green jeans might not be the first thing you reach for when getting dressed, but this springy shade is surprisingly wearable. Here’s how to wear spring green.

I always gravitate towards bright colors when the weather warms up, and these green wide-leg jeans instantly caught my eye. Theyโ€™re bold, and somehow still feel classic. The color gives major spring energy, but the tailored fit and scalloped detail along the leg make them feel polished.

When I started putting together this outfit, I wanted to keep everything else really simple to balance out the boldness of the jeans. This slightly oversized white sweater is a favorite for transitional weather. But any neutral would work to let the pants do the talking. Usually, I think that wide-leg jeans and pants always look better when your top is a little more fitted or tucked in. But the high-low hem of this sweater keeps the proportions in check.

Since the pants already make a statement, I kept accessories intentional but unfussy. I layered a few gold necklaces, grabbed my black oversized sunglasses, and a green netted clutch that happens to match.

And yes, I wore printed shoes! These snake print flats are surprisingly versatile. They ground the outfit and keep it from feeling too sweet. Donโ€™t be afraid to mix a neutral animal print with a bold color. It can be the unexpected touch that pulls everything together.

Honestly, these green jeans have already become one of those pieces I didnโ€™t know I needed. Iโ€™ve also worn them with a striped tee and a denim jacket.

If you’re unsure how to wear spring green, hereโ€™s my formula: one bold piece + elevated basics + small details that add personality. Thatโ€™s it. Start with one item like a pair of pants, a skirt, or even a bag. Keep everything else in your comfort zone and let the color do the work.

I hope this post on how to wear spring green inspires you to wear bold colors this season. Will you try it? Let me know in the comments!

I took a picture of your outfit because this is the color of my thrifted green pants. It might be fall before I wear them like this but really loved the inspiration.

  12. I always love this shade on other people but don't think I can pull it off (I need an earthier, more muted grean). It really pops with your white sweater!

  16. Love that shade of green. Great outfit.

  17. Green is the best color in the world. And those green pants are sensational. Love the feminine scallop detailing. Adding the animal print shoes is genius. I always feel like my leopard shoes scream 'look at me' but yours are a more subtle print. Super cute. And that net bag??? What in the world? So summery and fun. All the beach vibes. You looks adorable. Great photos, too.
