If you’re an over-packer or never sure what to pack for a weekend getaway, this post is for you! I’ve always been a last-minute packer and never seem to get it right. I tend to overpack and completely miss packing essential items for complete outfits. Time after time, I open my suitcase and realize I don’t have anything to wear. Today I’m sharing a fall weekend getaway capsule wardrobe for you.

I’ve picked ten wardrobe staples (7 clothing pieces, one scarf, and two pairs of shoes) and created eleven outfit combinations. Why eleven outfits for a weekend? I like to have options and don’t want to commit to just a few outfits. This mini fall weekend getaway capsule wardrobe will give you outfit choices without overpacking.

I’ve built my fall weekend getaway capsule wardrobe around my rule for buying something new. I must be able to wear a piece at least three ways. My style is generally pretty laid back, and I kept my outfits casual here as well. But, you can easily swap out pieces if you have outings or events that require dressier attire. And, if you’re not planning a getaway anytime soon, I hope this will give you outfit inspiration for planning out your everyday outfits and creating new looks with pieces you already have in your closet.
