Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a great week! Today I’m excited to share my summer Walmart try on haul with you. These pieces are all from the Free Assembly line, Walmart’s private-label fashion brand. The label launched in 2021, and its creative director is fashion designer Brandon Maxwell (who you might remember from Project Runway).
There are a few things I like about the Free Assembly line. First, the on-trend pieces are affordable, yet they don’t skimp on quality. Subsequently, the pieces look and feel like some of those brands we love at higher-end stores. Keep scrolling to see my Walmart finds. I hope you love them as much as I do!
Free Assembly Midi Sundress – $39
This dress checks all of the boxes. It has smocked waist, tie shoulder straps, a tiered hem, and pockets, and it’s lined. The madras plaid screams summer. And can we talk about these platform sandals? They are giving me all of the retro vibes. They’re from the Sam & Libby brand and are very comfortable to wear and easy to walk in. Both run true to size.
Free Assembly One Shoulder Midi Dress – $39
The one-shoulder trend is going strong this season, and this style looks great on all body types. This darling dress also comes in a few other color options. The smocked waistline and ruched shoulder detail add interest. And, it has pockets. Runs true to size.
Free Assembly Lace Up Tank – $24 and High Rise Shorts – $18
I couldn’t do a Walmart try on haul without showing some summer shorts and tops. These denim pieces are great basics to mix and match with your other summer staples. The denim top hits right below the hips, and the lace-up front adds a fun element. Another find was this crochet bag. I love how it adds a touch of charm to your outfits.
Free Assembly Slit Front Tie Tank – $14 and Drawstring Shorts – $21
I thought this terry cloth top was cute with the drawstring along the neckline. The wide straps make it bra friendly, which is an added bonus. The utility shorts have a longer 5-inch inseam and come in a few color options like navy, olive, and orange.
