Rainbow colors are still trending, and when I came across this pleated color-block midi skirt in the clearance section at J.Crew with an extra 50% off, I immediately wanted it to be mine. I have to admit, when I bought it, I only envisioned wearing it in the spring with an oversized sweater and my Adidas sneakers and in the summer with a graphic tee and flip flops. So while Punxsutawney Phil said we’d have an early spring, temps have been in the teens this week, and I knew I needed to put some outfits together and style my pleated skirt for winter. I added some fleece-lined tights for warmth and layered my leather jacket over a turtleneck top. You could wear this to the office, sans the jacket, or this outfit would be perfect for a date or girls’ night out!

Temps in the teens??? How in the world could you brave them and look so beautiful, too? That skirt was a great find. Like how you found a way to transform it from the spring-summer piece you first imagined it to be into something fun for winter. The black on top balances well with your tights and shoes and makes the skirt the centerpiece or focal point.
