The quality of the beans is always going to determine the quality of the coffee. Whether you want to shake it up and go for Kona coffee, or stick with your usual brand but upgrade to a better bean, it will make a big difference.

Water Temperature

If you want to make the best coffee possible at home, you have to learn about the importance of water temperature. Most people use water that is far too hot for making coffee. You shouldn’t use boiling water; in fact, you should aim for water that is just below boiling point. That’s because boiling water burns the beans and produces a taste that is stringent and bitter to most palates. Make sure you use a coffee machine or turn the kettle off before it fully boils.

Grind Your Own

If you are serious about coffee you might want to you grind your own beans. Grinding your own beans is one way to produce a cup of coffee that is just so much better. There are all kinds of coffee bean grinders out there at all price points.  It will be one of the best things you can do for your home-brewed coffee.
