Hi Friends! Happy New Year! I’m back from my two-week blogging/social media break, and I’ve never felt better. The Instagram platform had gotten me down over the past year and was starting to impact my mental health. I feel refreshed and focused and cannot wait to create new content and inspiration outfits for you this year.
Today’s post is all about looking back at 2022. If you remember, back in May, I started a new job and decided only to post once a week. So, I was surprised that I had written and published 73 posts in 2022.
I always love digging into my analytics to see what posts you love the most. I will share a reader survey later this month to get your feedback and ideas so I can continue creating the best content for you. Fashion has always been the main focus of Doused in Pink, so it’s no surprise that all 12 posts were in inspiration outfits in the style category.
Thank you for your continued support, comments, and messages! I truly appreciate it, and it means a lot to me! Now, let’s take a trip down memory lane with your favorite posts from each month of 2022.
Your Favorite Outfit Inspiration Posts of 2022
Maybe it was the new year’s resolution to have more date nights, or perhaps the outfits just resonated with you, but 3 Cozy-Chic Winter Date Night Outfits was a clear favorite this month. In this post, I put together three winter date night outfits, from casual to dressy.
How to Make a Basic Everyday Outfit Not Look Basic dove into the little tweaks you can make with accessories to take an everyday outfit up a notch.
I started a new outfit inspiration series in March, Head to Toe Outfits Under $100 (including shoes). I created the outfit for this post, Cute & Affordable Spring Transition Outfit Under $100, with pieces from Walmart. These jeans are still ones that I reach for often.
Chicwish is my go-to for affordable clothing that has a vintage and indie vibe. In Chicwish Review + Spring Outfits You’ll Want to Try, I did a huge try-on with pieces from Chicwish’s spring and summer collection.
Dresses are my go-to on a warm summer day, and The Easy Breezy Dress You’ll Want To Wear All Spring & Summer Long featured a cotton dress that I continued to wear until fall. Despite the long sleeves, it was cool and comfortable. And perfect for indoor air conditioning.
One of my favorite things to do is style a piece in multiple ways, and this post gave you lots of inspiration for outfits with a slip dress. One Slip Dress Styled 6 Ways was a favorite on Pinterest, too, with over 12K views on my idea pin.
In 4 Chic Summer Outfits for Every Occasion, I featured four affordable summer outfits from H&M that could be worn to the beach, farmer’s market, date night, or even a summer wedding.
One of the best things about blogging has been the connections and friendships I’ve made. Andrea (Living on Cloud Nine), Laura (I Do DeClaire), Kathrine Eldridge Wardrobe Stylist, and Caroline (The Petite Fashionista) are not only my blogging buddies but dear friends in real life. The post, Girls Weekend Getaway Planning Tips, recapped our summer trip.
Everyone needs a blazer in their wardrobe. It’s a closet staple, and in 5 Casual Outfits with Blazers to Wear this Fall, I’m sharing how to wear one in five ways, including a summer transition look.
The faux leather trend is still going strong and Fall Outfits Featuring Faux Leather Leggings gives you a casual and dressy outfit idea.
Another multiple way to wear it post. 8 Ways to Style a Shacket This Season featured eight unique fall looks and ways to wear the trend.
After my spring Chicwish review, you were ready to see more. The Latest Chicwish Winter Outfits Try-On features cozy sweaters and fall and winter dressy outfits.
That’s a wrap. Were any of these inspiration outfits from 2022 your favorites too?
